The location is completely unknown and records appear to have nothing to add, but it was quoted several times in records of the Civil War.
It appears that some royalist officers had gathered at the King's Arms,Newmarket from where they issued a proclamation beseeching all loyal entitlement to come and advance money to the cause. This was apparently successful enough to attract the attention of a Colonel Pickering of the parliamentary troops to arrive with his men and after a brief fire fight, the 4 Royalist officers were captured.
