No clues found as to location. It is only found referenced when offered for sale in 1789, in the Bury and Norwih Post in 1789. This sale was of the Brewery and public houses of Robert Jones. The White Horse being the property where Woolworths, and now JD stands. The Corydon with stabling for 12 horse seems rather large for the Rookery. If trade was poor (it is not mentioned !), it is possible it was then given over to residential use, or maybe even a change of name.

The same sale was advertised in the Ipswich Journal of 3rd Jan.1789:-
"To be sold by auction by Thomas Foreman on Thu 15 Jan at 2 o' clock in the afternoon at the White Horse inn in Newmarket the following:
LOT V: A copyhold PH in Newmarket called the Corydon consisting of a kitchen, 2 parlours, 3 chambers, stabling for 12 horses, a good garden to the front and a small cottage adjoining.
Included in the sale were the White Horse, Waggon & Horses and Wheatsheaf in Newmarket and the White Horse, Exning; Anchor, Burwell and Plough, Ashley as well as other properties

The only other places in UK where this name has been seen is a horse owned by Thomas Panton in Newmarket in 1774, a steeplechaser owned by Horatio Bottomley in 1919 and a current day Rough Haired Collie kennel name.
