BAKER'ARMS

Location:- as yet not identified

Brewery or Owner:-unknown

Supposedly in Bakers Lane, an extension of Drapers or Drapery Row between Market Street and Wellington Street. It may well have been close to the rear entrance to Ennion's yard.
The 1841 census identifies several publicans in the Rookery, but sadly does not name the premises. The 1851 census for that area appears to be missing. No Bakers Arms appears in the Press or the 1881 census.

LICENSING HISTORY
Year Licensee Owner source
1757 unknown unknown Rookery map by Bernard Clements
1808 unknown unknown Bury and Norwich Post
No evidence of the above has been found, on maps, nor Bury & Norwich Post or Pigot, so for now treated as legend. Strangely, although Bernard Clements was not always accurate with his dates or locations, the existence he claims of premises are seldom wrong
